Work

One project, told plainly.

Bliss Frames Studio

A photography studio that runs its own website.

Bliss Frames photograph weddings, portraits and events across Sri Lanka. Their work is the reason anyone visits their website, so the brief was straightforward: show the photography properly, and let the studio keep the site current without coming back to us after every shoot.

The website

Designed around the images — full-width photography, restrained typography and generous space, with colour used sparingly so nothing competes with the work.

Nine pages covering services, portfolio, galleries, films, packages and contact. Pages are delivered from a global network rather than a single server, so they load quickly whether the visitor is in Colombo or overseas — which matters for a studio whose clients often book from abroad.

The content system

The studio manages everything through a private admin area. Albums upload an entire shoot in one go and the portfolio rebuilds itself. Films are added by pasting a YouTube link. Packages can carry a price or be marked as priced on request.

Enquiries land in the admin and are emailed to the studio at the same time, and each one can be marked as handled.

The details that mattered

Photographs upload straight from the browser to storage, so a full wedding gallery uploads without stalling. The site runs on inexpensive hosting — a deliberate choice, so the studio is not paying for infrastructure it does not need.

Text and colour combinations were measured against the international accessibility standard rather than judged by eye. And the whole system is checked automatically before any change goes live.

Something similar in mind?

We take on a small number of client projects at a time, so the work gets the attention it needs.
